The IMC Postproduction Suite
|
IMC has developed a proprietary software suite for post producing and viewing
recorded immersive video images. First the camera images are edited, then the
frames are blended into global equirectangular images, which are turned into
AVI files "Sphere Movies." For quickest results this blending is done over
a parallel processor, high-speed network using Xeon processors connected by
Gigabit Ethernet.

Immersive movies can be distributed via broadband streaming technologies and DVD. The sphere movie can be seen as a moving global image directly through Windows Media® Player or QuickTime®. With IMC's Spherical Viewing software, the viewer can control the direction of view and look around freely using a wide range of player controls. The extracted view can be displayed on flat screens (TV or PC), through Personal Immersive Viewer eyewear, or projected on large screens or touch screen displays.

With the newest release of Flash® Tools. Immersive Media's upgraded player allows full streaming of immersive video content. The player has zoom capability and an embed button, making it easy to share video on any website. By simply clicking on the Link icon you can copy the code and place it where you like.

Immersive Medias ArcMap™ Extension allows users to import immersive video into ESRI ARCGIS applications. Clicking at a point pulls up the IM GIS Viewer which displays the aerial view , the full world view and the interactive immersive viewer to look around and area specific to it's GPS co-ordinates.
