Complete Control
IMC's patented Spherical Video System delivers live and recorded situational awareness, capturing 360-degree full-motion spherical scenes at 100 million pixels per second. The compact, lightweight and unified hardware includes a camera head with eleven video streams. Operators don't have to worry about where to point it; one of the eleven lenses will capture the scene. Teams can review footage in real time, frame by frame, from every angle, and quickly determine what action to take. Spherical Video's versatile capture, archive and display options let you decide how to record and view data. Viewing options include head-mounted displays, CD/DVD playback on a PC, broadband & network distribution, and group presentations on Plasma screens, domes or panoramic environment. Image files may be stored and distributed via any state-of-the-art commercial grade recorded media such as DVDs, hard drives and micro-drives. The final file size may be reduced using any number of standard compression technologies. Data may also be merged with multiple databases.
Integration and Mapping
The IMC Spherical Video System's omnidirectional video adds an essential new dimension to your GIS system. IMC's open architecture allows you to associate immersive videos with features on a map, letting you select the layers of information based on your requirements and drill down to get a better understanding of a location. For example, a viewer can move from a satellite map to an aerial shot to a terrestrial perspective, seeing things up, down and on all sides.
Post Situational & Incident recording
Dissect the situation frame by frame. A comprehensive, accurate recording of the event is available for commanders, war fighters, planners, assessors and crash scene inspectors. Post-situational analysis can also be performed by various analysts from several different angles. This virtually eliminates missing any 'outside of the frame' action associated with standard or fixed cameras. As well, immersive video gives you a complete record for future analysis, training, inquests, inquiries or courtroom presentation.
First Responders & Security Planners
IMC's Spherical Video System is a critical asset to homeland defence & security. It offers real-time solutions to real world problems. Borders, airports, waterways and essential infrastructure; given today's geopolitical situation, the timely acquisition, analysis and sharing of intelligence is imperative. First responders, the military, coast guard, police, firefighters and medical personnel, need to make strategic, split-second decisions. The IMC Spherical Video System helps them quickly gather and assess multiple global views of the terrain and situation. Merging aerial photographs, 3D images, multimedia, GPS mapping systems and immersive videos, security planners virtually walk, drive or fly through potential emergency situations, and plan accordingly.

Easily integrated with other databases, IMC's immersive movie is displayed in a tiled window, as an aerial image with the route highlighted, in an equirectangular view of the entire surroundings, and the IMViewer window. |
Military Planners and Fighters
Combat situations require fast, accurate and comprehensive surveillance and analyses. Operators move IMC's Spherical Video System through target perimeters, capturing real-time, global views using multiple video streams arranged according to geodesic geometry. Blending real-time scenes on the fly, they can confirm that imagery is being captured and thoroughly assess the situation. Visual information is recorded in combination with metadata and may be integrated with GIS applications and other databases, giving war planners an exact synopsis of the situation. Operations are planned accordingly. Helicopter pilots know what terrain to expect. Drivers know what routes to take. War fighters know the location and strength of the enemy. Security teams can merge the immersive videos visual data with satellite pictures, maps and drawings, making it faster and easier to determine escape routes, identify safety shelters, assess civilian proximity to a target or maneuver around dangerous materials.

Imagine being in an armored personnel carrier, truck or tank with an obstructed view. You can only see what is directly ahead of you. You're vulnerable to the objects above, behind and beside the vehicle. Mounted on the rooftop, IMC's the Spherical Video System gives you a complete global view of your surroundings, and you're able to make better decisions. |
Search and Rescue
Search and rescue operations save lives. Success usually depends upon how quickly people can be found and search and rescue professionals
need to be well-trained and well-equipped. Flyover missions yield more accurate and useful data when rescuers capture the entire surroundings
with omnidirectional video. The IMC Spherical Video System records a global view that can be reviewed frame by frame, forward and backwards,
dramatically improving the odds of successfully saving lives.
Training Exercises can be recorded and situations presented from every angle studying in detail the roles played and the actions taken by
all those concerned
Soldier Training
Training scenarios can be developed by using immersive videos to create a photorealistic environment. A solider can be immersed in an urban combat zone and, based on the scenario, run through a series of exercises designed to simulate stress inoculation, co-ordinated tactical efforts and mission rehearsals. Training in a photorealistic environment enables soldiers to run through exercises and make decisions, then understand and analyse the consequences of their actions. Soldiers achieve unconscious competence. Their refined instincts will enable them to consistently make the right decision in complex situations.
